Landlord hasn’t returned deposit
I lived in a unit for about a year on a year lease (Texas). Then I did month to month for another 2 months. I just moved out on Tuesday and it is now. Saturday. I hired cleaners to do a deep clean of the apartment and even covered all holes on wall. Only reason I didn’t paint was because when I requested paint from landlord and was promised it I never received it.
Anyways, I spoke to the landlords mom (she’s in charge of the stuff guess like a manager) and she said he’d Zelle me the deposit back on Friday. I also spoke to him and he said the same thing. Well Friday has passed and still nothing. I even messaged him today (Saturday) about a letter of recommendation for my new apartment and he responded and got that back to me quickly but still no deposit. I feel annoying constantly asking. I’ve asked three times for it basically, what would be my next steps? Should I continue to bother them?
