Best swimming around Naples/Amalfi coast?

My husband and I are going to Italy for the first two weeks of June (1-15). We plan to spend some time in Rome, maybe a couple of days visiting wineries in Tuscany, and then the rest of the time around Naples/the Amalfi coast.

I absolutely love to swim and hope to spend a lot of that time in the water. I'm looking for reccomendations for the best beaches and/or rocky swimming areas anywhere around Naples or Amalfi. Willing to do day trips or overnights. Ideally accessible by public transit, but we're open to renting a car if that's the way to go! We'd love a mix of some easily accessible beaches where we can see some local characters/classic Italian beach club vibes, but also love to hike and would enjoy some more remote hike-in spots.

Also open to general feedback about where to go for these two weeks - we're not set on any locations besides that we fly in and out of Rome. Also wondering about weather this time of year - is it usually hot enough to swim? Should we go further south?

Thanks for any and all advice!
