Is this behavior normal for a pregnant stray cat?
Hello guys, today I’ve spotted a stray cat roaming around our summer house. We gave her some food and water, and she disappeared into the wheat fields shortly after she was done eating. When we first approached the cat, she was acting rather skittish, which is not really a surprise since we saw her for the first time today at around 6 pm.
Time has passed and she came back at 11 pm. We fed her again and she was starting to rub her head against walls, chairs, legs, shoes, and basically everything that was near her. Apart from that, she was also making biscuits and purring from time to time. She would stop when we distanced ourselves, and begin again once we came near her. Honestly, her behavioral change kind of surprised me.
This poor thing looks very young and her belly has already gotten so big. We’ve only noticed her pregnancy after our second encounter. I’ve been asking myself if she’s about to give birth in the next few days. We’ve put some blankets out just in case.
I’d love to hear your opinions about this.

Unfortunately, we were only here on vacation and are departing in a few hours. :( I’m honestly so heartbroken that I won't be here to help her through this, especially when she chose to trust me. But thankfully there is someone permanently staying in this house who will be able to keep an eye on her and take care of her. I’ll show them the post and responses as soon as they wake up.
I set up a laundry basket with blankets for her to nest in. As of right now, she seems to have wandered off the porch, but hopefully she comes back to use it when she's ready. Thank you again to everyone for the advice, I will try to update as much as possible.
