Hi everyone! I’ve been eyeing the Harley Benton TE-69TL Hot Rod in Natural finish. I’m usually super cautious with my gear purchases, but this thing is just gorgeous with that natural ash body, single F-hole, and maple neck! How do staked pickups sound?
Not entirely satisfied with the Roswell pickups, which sound very good but a little too modern for my taste, I replaced them with some Tonerider alnico 4 classic pickups. I still have to test them out thoroughly, but so far I'm very satisfied, especially with the crunch sounds. The (reverse) zebra color scheme is also a perfect fit with black fusion T.
I changed the pickguard from white to cream. I think it looks great because it's the same color as the binding. I got it on AliExpress, but I had to change the ring for the plate because it didn't match.

I replaced the plastic nut with a bone one, to practice on the guitar maintenance and because the original plastic one was too high and the intonation on the first frets wasn't great... Now the guitar seems more in tune, but the surprise is that the strings have become softer like a lower string gauge! I'll test it in the next few days, but for now I'm happy with how the work turned out!
