The default saw wave on VSTs like Omnisphere and Vital are the only sounds that sound good to me. Am I cooked? How do I get out of this?

Every other sound just doesn’t sound as powerful as the basic saw wave to me. A lot of the time I write my base chords with the default saw wave and then look for other sounds to replace it with, but every other synth preset I find just sounds off compared to it. Of course I layer other sounds on top of the saw synth for leads and other melodies, but it seems like no other synth presets I come across have that oomph that the basic saw wave has to me when I’m looking for something loud and powerful. Other synth presets I try using usually have some weird quirk to them, whether it’s some kind of reverb or automatic tuning automation, that turns me off to them, or sometimes they just don’t sound good. I’m worried that I’m gonna use the saw synth too much and a lot my beats and songs are gonna sound too similar to each other. But then I remind myself that the majority of successful rock bands only had guitar as their main instrument back in the day, but it seems like times have changed, tell me if I’m wrong. But yeah I’ve been thinking about this for awhile. Let me know your thoughts on this.
