Moving to Florida, bad Idea?

Looking for a new place to live and being from the northeast I would like to try somewhere warm even for just a year. Was considering doing a month long rental in either July or September in FL, somewhere along the coast (looked at Daytona and Jacksonville) to test it out.
I work remotely so really what draws me is the coast, weather, and great pricing on apartment complexes.

Am I being naive? Is this something I shouldn’t even consider? Do I not know enough about hurricanes?

And yes, I know I could go to California for warm weather but the price point is what deters me.

Federal Job with only an Associates?

Wondering if you can get hired with only an Associates?

For context I am 28, have an AAS in Computer Information Systems, and 5 years of experience in both data and finance analysis in the non profit sector, and I would like to land a federal role in my field. I am going back to school in the fall to complete my bachelors but getting a new job before waiting to finish would be ideal.

I make sure that the jobs I apply to are open to the public and have experience requirements over education, and I’m willing to relocate, but I’m wondering if I’m being too much of the dreamer and they won’t realistically consider my application without the degree.
Just curious if I’m wasting my time or not.

Is a BAS a bad choice?

Hi,

I plan to start UMPI in the fall. I already have an associates degree in Computer Information Systems, and I have been working as an analyst for several years.

I am obtaining the degree so that I can get a higher paying job as the lack of a bachelors degree removes me from a lot of opportunities.

I figured the quickest way would be to do the BAS route with a minor in MIS since it is similar to my associates and the courses look manageable to me. I just need the 10 residency courses to complete it.

I really want this done quickly since I am 28 and looked down on by my friends and peers for not having a bachelors, but I am worried that perhaps this route might not seem legitimate?

Has anyone experienced the BAS being questioned as a degree with no specific major?
I would love to go to grad school in the future , I already have experience in data and finance, I just need the BA out of the way so I can make a decent salary/ have stability in my field at the moment.

I am so stressed about finally going back for the degree and it being the wrong choice, so any info is helpful!
