[Simon Johnson] Xabi Alonso has been on Chelsea's wish list ever since they sacked Rosenior. Far from a done deal yet, but Chelsea’s pursuit of Xabi certainly makes a lot of sense. He would immediately command respect in the dressing room Rosenior never had.
