What's the best place to mount panels on this deck?

I've been staring at this for too long and need advice from more experienced folks. I have 3 200w bifacial panels I want to set up on this deck, but keep getting stuck. The side with stairs faces west and and gets a lot of sun (we're on a hillside) but the stairs are cantilevered out and don't have posts under them. I also kind of want to put the panels along the deck railing for some shade but since the stairs are right there I can't really tilt out the base of the panels.

The south facing side of the deck has more room to cantilever the panels but gets some shade and is very close to my neighbors so I'm worried about glare shining into their faces or being too close to the property line.

If I put them on the stair landing, would I need to add support posts under the corners? Am I just overthinking this???

Carport as patio shade/ground mount?

Is there any reason not to do this? I have a concrete patio space in back where I was going to do ground mount, but then thought I could set up a carport and keep using all the space.

Mounting options for cable deck railing like this?

The picture is from Google Images but matches the style we have (cables drilled through square posts, close to the edge of the deck, with a flat board across the top). Definitely a DIY job by the previous owner but sturdy enough. They're too close to the edge to fit anything other than a straight vertical mount which isn't ideal. I would ground mount them inside the railing but have tried with my flex panel and the railing casts a horizontal shadow. Are there brackets I can mount to the edge of the deck (thinking like the ones under AC window units)?

Recommendations for Android reading devices?

I like my Kindle Paperwhite fine, especially with koreader, but I'm itching for a more full Android experience (mostly the ability to run Tailscale and connect remotely to my calibre and kosync servers). I'm happy with the size (6 inch) and would be OK going up to the 7/8 inch class but not more than that.

I'm not interested at all in handwriting/annotation/drawing/notebook features, which I think will help with pricing. I'm familiar with custom android ROMs and dealing with outdated versions, so while I would prefer 14 I'm OK with using something older. I also love saving money and would prefer to buy secondhand if possible, but there are so many brands and product lines it's hard to know what to search eBay for.

Budget: $200, can stretch to $250 but would really prefer not to

Location: US

Features: backlight, 6-8" screen, Android 8+, prefer a wider aspect ratio

Some of the currently available options I've considered:

- bigme B6 (frontrunner)

- Meebook m8 (includes drawing features and price premium I don't need)

- DuRoBo Krono (price, also don't like the more vertical aspect ratio)

What older Boox models (or other brands) should I consider?

Getting ventilation holes on a vertical surface

I'm trying to add ventilation holes to a surface that is oriented vertically when printing but will be horizontal when in use (an open-top rectangle where the open face will be the front). I know how to do this when printing something in the same orientation it will end up in, use a modifier/set top and bottom layers to zero/use lattice or hex infill, but can't figure out how to do this when I'm printing the object rotated 90 degrees. I can use "wall loops=0" to get bare infill, but then I'm just getting side-on view of those layers.

I tried "align infill direction to model" which didn't help, and also tried using Lateral Hex/Lateral Lattice infill patterns but even with wall loops=0 for my modified area there isn't really space through the layers. I feel like I'm missing something obvious, is there a way to have "vertical infill" for part of a model or another easy way to add holes to a vertical surface other than a bunch of negative modifiers?
