Drainage.

Drainage.

Hi everyone, I am getting this enclosure for my boy, he deserves the upgrade. Don't worry about ventilation, it's already sorted. Does anyone have any suggestions for channeling the water into the middle of the floor? I was initially thinking about using expanding foam on the floor to channel it all there and into a pipe, but I don't know if expanding foam is safe for Chameleons. Also thought about 3d printing a false bottom that will channel the water but again, I'm not sure on the safety of it. Any ideas? Even if it's just a brand of expanding foam that's safe for chameleons.

Appropriate Heat and UVB Setup.

Hi everyone. My boy Oogway (Hermann Tortoise) is just over a year old now, he's in a 180cm x 60cm table, I want to upgrade this, specifically seeing as he has started climbing everything, this image is what I am looking to do. It is a pallet rack, where I will basically put two more tables above his and put a ramp with walls going into each one. The UVB question is basically, would I be crazy to put a T5 on each level? Or is that the correct way to approach this? The picture is my rough sketch of how it would work, so ignore numbers and lines, but the image is essentially just a pallet rack with three tables.

To note; I don't want to hear anything about outdoor setups, Ireland is not the country for it, nor is our back garden, I'd have to completely redo it, cut down trees etc, which I would do, but I don't have permission to throw things at my neighbors cats that frequently come through. Plus the weather here is just an issue in general, so this question relates purely to the title question.

Please no "Just buy a humidifier" I just want a top of the range fogger for the enclosure upgrade. The Exo-Terra one looks cool, everywhere I've looked it's just people saying to buy humidifiers from the local shop. I want piece of mind, and a good fogger, even if it's €200 will do that for me.

Hi everyone, nearly Friday! So I'm going to ask that you read this before going for my throat:

I am aware that Chameleons need good ventilation, he is currently in an XL Reptibreeze, I want to give him a 120cm x 120cm enclosure because of how active he is, I mean he spends more time out of his enclosure than in it some days but that's neither here nor there. Ireland is a trick country to keep reptiles due to the weather, and I was looking into getting a PVC Enclosure and drilling a load of holes in it to make up for the lack of ventilation. I started thinking however; I can get custom built vivs from my local pet shop, I already have one and I love it, brilliant quality. Is there a product out there that could recreate really good ventilation inside a wooden viv? I want this because again, temperature and weather in Ireland is brutal, even during summer, we can't fully open the windows in the kitchen (Where he is) because the neighbour's cats have attempted, and previously been successful, in jumping through our windows. And even on windy days we don't get wind in out back garden due to the tall trees, his enclosure. is at the back of the house.

I really don't want it to seem like I'm being negligent, I genuinely want whats best for him, and even if someone were to say "yes, here is a good ventilation system, it's expensive though" I don't care, even if it's €1,000, I'll buy it. He already has a Deep Heat Projector, but it can still be challenging to keep temps up, and that's even during summer. I suppose it would also have the added bonus of water not going all over the floor from the mister, but that's solved with a towel. Worth noting that the top of this viv would still be mesh, purely wooden walls. Even if the solution is just to design the viv with vents going the whole way down every wall. Or if I need to buy a mini A/C unit of sorts idk. Any and all input would be appreciated before I spend hours designing another custom viv.

Had no plans on getting another corn snake but when the pet shop told me €95 how could I say no? Am I right in saying that he's OK for a 5% UVB? Quick Google search says yes. But trusting Google is a dangerous game.

I don't know where the red in his urates is coming from, he gets 2 minutes most morning and night, 4x 30 minute bursts of the joggers over night, has a dripper, has a water bowl. Maybe Ill move his dripper to the same side as his basking bulb. No concerning behaviours, always wanting to come out and walk on people, eating like roaches and crickets are about to be outlawed. Maybe time for yet another vet visit with him. Rhe last time the faecal float showed flagelletes, nothing serious, vet said most animals will live healthy lives with them, but we treated them anyways.
