Aric and Rafal
I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this before, but am I the only one who is really disappointed that the book never showed Aric hating Rafal for the fact that he was the reason Lady Lesso couldn’t visit him?
When I first read the third book a few years ago, I thought Aric was going to have a much bigger role and maybe even try to kill Rafal later. Not because he would be on the heroes’ side, but because he would just be looking out for himself.
I understand that Soman Chainani had a different idea of where to take the story, but I still find it kind of weird that there was never a scene where Aric hated Rafal for what he did. The only explanation I can think of is that Aric didn’t know, but then why wouldn’t Lady Lesso have told him?Like obviously Aric wouldn’t have forgiven her anyway, but it still feels so stupid that we never got at least one argument/fight scene between Rafal and Aric 😭
