Bubbling side zipper on dress with corset back

Hello! My bridesmaids dress for my friend’s wedding has an issue where the side zipper bubbles when the corset is laced in the back. I’m wondering if this could feasibly be fixed or if I need to give up and go with another dress.
My current idea is to add narrow boning to either side of the zipper, but I’m not confident in this solution and I would love to see if anyone here has any better ideas of what to do.
I have sewn my whole life and made/patterned garments for the past several years, so I may be able to perform the fix myself. However, if the only solution is something that should be done by a tailor, I’m more than happy to go to one! Please let me know what you think!!
