Hand Pain

I have been on hydroxychloroquin for 9 months and every now and then I have flare ups which yes I know would happen. It comes in many forms but this one... My hands have been really bothering me for a week now and I have tried ice, heat, Tylenol, aleve, ibuprofen and nothing seems to help. I bought compression gloves which seem to take the edge off a little but with temps well over 90° Its to hot to wear them out. They feel stiff like someone slammed them in the car door. Every little knuckle/muscle/nerve hurts.

I have reached out to the Dr but believe they are on vaca this week and I just want some relief.

Does anyone have something that works for them?

TIA

Mom has Pancreatic Cancer

She used to be a housekeeper and with her diagnosis, she has not been and will never be able to do her job again. She is feeling useless and feels like all money problems are now her fault.

Does anyone know if there is anything she can do from home to make a little side cash, so she can feel useful again? I would give her projects and pay her but I am strapped for cash and dont have any to spare.

Even with Chemo besides being tired she is handling it well. She has 4 more treatments left, then goes on a lower dose treatment for the rest of her life to try and keep her at bay for as long as possible.

I want to help her so much but I just dont know how.

Any advice or ideas would truly be helpful!

TIA

My Mom had really elevated liver enzymes and even turned jondyce back in late October early Nov. Thats how it all started. She had emergency surgery to remove her gallbladder and continued to have bad pain, fatigue, and just felt like something was wrong. In Poland oit of the hospital over the next couple weeks after coming home from surgery, she found out she has pancreatic cancer. They then and did another emergency surgery. A whipple. After her recovery time started on Chemo and has been doing ok. The Dr says 13months to 5 years is the best average he can give us.

She was a go go go type of person and now has been sleeping and been pretty sedentary. They live over an hour away and are talking about moving closer, because my dad has a lot of medical issues as well. They are not even 60 yet so retiring early has been a concern.

My question is: Do I try to convince them to move out here sooner or let them try and wait until next summer when they are in a better financial spot? (Dad will be 60 and in Aug 2027 he will get his full pension. If he retires now its a 4% penalty on his pension. And im not sure how insurnace will work.)

The question that keeps going through my mind and I hope I am 100% wrong, but what if she lives closer to the 13month mark and less to the 5 year mark. Will she even make it to next summer?

We lost my brother to suicide 11 years ago so its just me and my parents. We have already put my name on all their bank accounts and their house incase anything were to happen. But I just dont know what to do, being quite a distance away.

I feel lost.
