I cried. The book made me freeze and look at the last, blank page for quite a while.
It started off good. It wasn’t one of those cases where i read a classic after knowing where to story would be going, i went straight into it. It was a pretty easy read anyway. And while i did expect things to get horribly tragic— i didn’t expect…that. It all happened so quickly.
I never realised >!Lennie could do anything worse than breaking Curley’s hand. Lennie just went and killed the puppy the very next moment. Just when i thought that, yeah that must be it, how worse can it get this is sad enough— i was hit with more horror.!<
>!But i do think what George did was the best for him. Curley would have done worse things if he found Lennie. And well, being “locked up” with a mental disorder was worse than death during the time the story was written, anyway.!<
What surprised me a bit was the lack of display of emotion. >!George didn’t seem too surprised. Neither did Candy, upon finding the body.!< But then again, I think thats the beauty of it. It subtly showed how they felt.

I write a lotta songs, can sing, play guitar n shi, but suck at the rest of it. I need someone to help me with the producing part. Its gonna be a collaboration type thing, i cant really pay you. But if my song works out you can keep all the revenue, lol. I can’t really guarantee you anything but a lotta fun we gonna have together.

Just started 11th grade. I live in india, BUT am not indian, i actually do own a US passport as i was born there so i think im not being considered as an international applicant. I wanna do a literature major. Or probably philosophy.
So…im having a cool ish profile. I think.
Got 95% last year, top 10%, very competitive school tho. Got 88% in 9th, was top 10% too. (boards in 10th inflate grades, cbse be like that)
Js did an AP prolly will get a 5, will do two more,(self studied, school dont provide) i do know 3 APs aint much, but yk, im self studying it so yah, its hard. I believe its better than doing none at all. Also i just love studying lol. (Its 3 subjects i love)
Im pretty sure imma get a 1540+ in my SAT.
Writing a book which imma publish soon. Traditional publishing, aiming for a good publisher. I believe its good enough for me to get a decent publishing deal at least. Fiction btw, its dystopia, pretty cool. I’m gonna finish it very soon. I think I can publish it by senior year.
I write a lottt of songs and am also working on putting em out on spotify n shi; I have a youtube (currently like less than 500 subs but i didn’t work on it as much, was making my songs, ill get it up to a few thousands at least, i have bout 2 years). So ya by the time i apply i would prolly have like a few thousands of monthly listeners, im pretty confident.
Oh also am a prefect in school, head girl ish? Not exactly THE head, but yeah one of em.
Currently putting my writing out for competitions, won many local stuff already but i doubt it counts.
So do i even try the ivies? Like at least aim for em? Or is it way outta my league? Do i have a chance?
Also, adding what would make me have a shot at the ivies? Like, what if i win a few regional/ national/ international writing or essay competitions idk?? Or get a really cool publisher for my book. Maybe have a song that performs well, 50k streams and allat. If i do shi like this over the next 1.5 years of time i have, do i have a chance?
