n70 intermittent overheating issues
Have a 2011 n70 that’s had issues with overheating intermittently for a while now, only ever when it’s a scorcher of a day/when under load. Never had any issues during winter and generally tows fine in the cooler months, chasing some advice as to where to look next to resolve the issue.
Recently been compression tested but all seemed to be well. Old mate did recommend doing it again in summer if/when I start having issues again as he suspects they *may* be a small crack in the head that was missed, however he’s not certain.
It’s never overheated to the point I’ve had to pull up, have always been able to nurse her through and tick along even when towing. Have had to keep an eye on coolant levels but it’s never chomped through it at an alarming rate.
Has anyone experienced similar/able to offer any wisdom or advice as to what the issue may be? At this point I’d really just like to locate the problem and get it sorted as it’s a good bus, 360k on the clock and would like to get another couple hundred thousand kms out of her.
Any suggestions or advice is much appreciated
Cheers
