Gg.. ?
Myself, a sarco and a fresh sub rex fought and killed a kent, pachy and iggy in a big herb pack.
Two of them came back as rexes ofc, idk what I was supposed to do at this point so I just let my team mate escape 😭 (they tried but didn't...)

Are we still able to report chat members for using slurs if they are automatically censored...?
How is an alderon employee meant to prove that !&^!& was actually a slur via a screenshot?
Or was this the whole plan w/ censoring? People can say whatever they want with context but it just comes out as spam? That's a horrible resolution if so...
Advice needed 🥲
One thing I do think would be beneficial as a server option is removing the ability to swap playables unless you leave the server entirely, I know this was being tested, but MAN it's so annoying when it happens as people are losing 😭
I saw an adult ano and conc attacking a baby rex in Sav, I charged in as my sty to help. Baby rex died but the conc was losing badly to me so it ran to water
I made the mistake of hanging around trying to bait it out of the water as the ano walked off. Of course the ano swapped, a minute later another sty comes charging directly at me and they duo me to hot springs where a 3rd (hatz) comes beelining directly for me.
I died obviously, completely drained of stam. But it's so goofy to me to:
A.) Be so trash on your playable you need a trio to kill a single sty
B.) Be so trash on your playable you have to swap at all to revenge kill
I maintain that a lot of group killers can't fight, or at least they can't handle the one solo that knows what they're doing and so they have to insanely outnumber it to win 😭
My ps+ membership ends in a few days and I will thus be taking a forced break from this game for awhile. I hope some stuff changes by the time I can come back. Good luck ya'll, stay strong
This post is kinda satire, but...tbh...every time I've found it works lol.
Gather yourself a group of non mixpack, legal group limit playables and wipe em.
It works often bc megapacks really rely on brute force dogpile combat. If you in any way can weaken that "united front", they crumble.
My stego group of 3 (full slots, same diet) found a big mixpack group of 2 spinos, 1 adol spino, 2 ducks, 3 (maybe 4) sarcos. We fought them on the shore for a bit. Mind you, it was also raining. They had wet target buffs im sure.
2 amargs arrived (not grouped with us, likely with eachother) but we sorta cycled between us and the amargs taking the heat of their dog pile attacks. They'd all get slammed with massive bleed and all retreat to the middle of the lake. Rinse, repeat a few times.
Lemme tell you... 3 apexes balancing on top of a single log to avoid the half health group of stegos and amargs was just...idk..kinda poetic.
Anyway, it works. And if you're solo, bite some ankles, use terrain to pester them and slip out again. They don't run far from their groups, so make sure you have enough stam to escape and regroup
Good luck out there 🫡 ruin a megapackers day
AG has continuously nerfed and changed my mains until they're just not recognizable or fun for me to play.
Alio was one of them.
I've swapped to Sty because it's a hardy, mobile herbi and I'm really enjoying it (please for the love of god leave it alone alderon)
Anyone have any tips for not just survival on alio, but winning fights? Or are we still cooked
Preface: As someone who does play mostly solo, I'm not opposed to grouping. I don't have friends who play this game so generally I just wander around looking for groups who want to quest or combat. Generally I do find people most sessions.
I do see a problem with mega/mixpacks like everyone else, but I'm also noticing that the community is at times using accusations to stoke a fire that isn't valid.
I was questing with a small group in SF. As a sty, ano, and amarg (both were not sub) we fit within the alloted group slots and were all herbs. Two struthis (probably grouped so they didnt join ours) were also "with us". As struthis are 1 slots tho, we didn’t go over the 10 slot limit.
We killed a duo of meg and allo (the allo actually crouched over and over until we left it alone)
Then we went back to questing, building the anos nest and chatting. Fights actually happened around us too between struthis/thals, struthis and a hatz, stego and pycno. We didn't engage with that
The meg started raging in global about toxic mixpackers in SF and their yap actually got two(?) people to come to SF to like... "white knight" revenge kill us?
And partially, I get it, as it's not uncommon for SF to just be full of carnis and herbis all standing around doing nothing then running to attack a random person.
But the fact that we killed one meg, spared his teammate and then went about doing other things only to be called "toxic" is making me feel like some people are taking advantage of the mixpack issues in Hotspots to villianize the game and players entirely.
We were all the same diet, within group space limits and left this guys friend alone only for him to start insulting us and encouraging ppl to essentially get the "mixpackers" in SF
So, as someone who plays both sides of the game? Group and solo? I'd say this is just as much of an issue if we're being discouraged from playing the game as designed. Solo is great, I love solo. But it's a challenge by design and not an excuse to villianize every single group you run up against.
Everyone remember 30 seconds after the alio TLC dropped and everyone was panicking that the tracking ability would be a megapack staple and doom every solo player ever?
And then alio sucked so bad megapacks just KOSed it 🥲 actually also everything KOSed it
I was confident from the start it wasn't going to be an ability as effective as people feared....But even I couldn't have forseen the "oh nevermind" of it all...
Not meant to shade anyone I was just thinking about this today 😭 very possible they could decide to entirely tune up alio all of the sudden and then packs use it but....i doubt it
Took the community like an entire year to use mob boss achillo commonly
Was wandering in SF (I know it's a hotspot, that was my goal) as solo sty
Got jumped by a conc, adol achi, and laten
Was fending them off fine but a stego ans pachy joined me to help and we grouped. Achi died and Conc and Lat ran off (conc to switch I'm sure)
A few mins later a bars joins us, after that out of nowhere a bars, sty, albert, lamb and two latens come back and attack us
We were doing really well honestly (bc huge packs cant fight), but I got caught in some crossfire hits, got low, and just decided to try to take one out with me.
Got the sty, sty on sty violence fr
What are your best "at least I got one" stories?
I've reported no less than 6 ppl through alderon's website over the past 24 hours for blatant hatespeech, racism and homophobia in global. I'm encouraging the community to be diligent about doing the same. You're never gonna remove all awful people from an online space, or any space, but do what you can to protect your fellow dinosaur gamers folks, it's rough out there. There's trash talk and then there's blatant hate and bigotry and exclusionary rhetoric. Don't be that guy, a rex wouldn't be that guy.
(Also no one tells the homophobic dino game fans about birds i guess...)
Mela Hatz brought my dasp some food, the allo and conc sorta followed slowly behind me for awhile before circling back to attack. Not surprising.
What WAS surprising was me, a mediocre dasp, taking out two of them and leaving the others 1 tap so I could escape
I'm enjoying the alio TLC a lot but I'm not enjoying getting chain killed by other Alios. As alio, i literally haven't died to anything else but alios lmao, what's with that.
Anyway, as much as I love being alio, this was a choice born of pure hubris if you ask me, and nice revenge after like 10 deaths today.
Megapack in gpr had 8 people against a single bars
At least one of them got it's karma 🫡
Free trophy and karma, a small win on Path of Titans
Pretty cool moment until the random allo stepped in to help and accidentally body blocked me into the rex so I died immediately 😂 ah well, cool pictures to be taken
Getting a bit tired of the fact that this game's combat revolves around "who can dig their model up the other ones butt better and spam bite to win"
This isn't blaming players because this is how the game has structured it's own combat tbh. I think I'm just growing tired of both experiencing extreme combat meshing and watching people post videos of them "destroying" a group by playing something smaller that can ride their ass to oblivion.
I kinda wish more creatures had some sort of front facing pushback attack (like Hatz wingbeat). Maybe fights would feel less spammy if there was a way to disengage (not tail attack) and reposition.
I hope your pillows are always warm
Risked hopping on my iggy today and was attacked by an allo and a metri
Fought more aggressively than usual because of the block nerf and stam boost
The allo just kept.... deliberately running into my chest to bite? I got thumb barrage after thumb barrage on this allo until it ran off after 3 or so rounds.
Sorry but if this nonsense is part of why ppl whined for iggy to be nerfed... I can't believe they're still doing it.
Gonna see iggy eat more dirt because people expect to be able to facetank even more now with the nerf.
Im not one to use "skill issue" or be a pvp sweat in this game, but the whole iggy thing really ticked me off and what are we doin?
Whenever I'm fighting on a playable (any tbh) I feel like I take so much more damage being hit than when I'M fighting someone else using that same playable.
Example:
Im a lat tormenting an allo and it catches me off gaurd and gets a claw attack and bite in, I drop to 1/4 health immediately and run.
Then, when I'M an allo, I'm fighting lats tanking 5 direct body shots and surviving.
What is this phenomenon? Am I crazy? 😭
I recently hopped on Yellowtones, pretty enthusiastic about their rules to control mixpacking and megapacking
Turns out my experience was only mildly less frustrating than Officials. Grouped with someone and we were hanging out and questing. Found two more carnis who I friendly called to group but they ignored us and moved away.
A minute later they ambush and attack us. We fight for awhile, then get 3rd partied by two kels
1 of the original attackers runs off as does my group mate. So the kels chase them and the original lat attacking me keeps going. (Which I thought was against the 3rd party rules but whatever it's a lat.)
I shake it off and try to go help my groupmate who says nothing and combat logs and the kels kill me. 😭
Not a single difference from officials except that I was playing Allo ExA and the queue was 40 mins
