Too smart for this sub

Too smart for this sub

This is not directed towards anyone. So after this post don't come here making aggressive dialogues.

Iam already taking bail because iam not so smart as the people iam going to say about.

The chinese characters invasion has been happened in this sub for some long time and i personally don't have any problem with that.

I haven't read any Chinese novel expect Blackstone code (iam still reading it) and i do find ot really good to have scd getting more characters.

I have been recommending many stuffs to this sub having characters ranging from low to high tiers but iam really concerned about this.

Do people really like to know about mid tier characters?

Because nowadays this sub mostly talks about high tiers.

It's mostly about glazing high tiers and hating on mid tiers and i have recommended some novels with high tier characters but iam afraid if people will find them bad.

I have had conversations with people who considers mid tiers as bums and of course mid tiers might not be as good as high tiers but why directly mocking them as bums?

I think after reading and learning about so many high tiers, people can't really appreciate any mid tier characters.

It's like they are too smart that mid tier characters looks like low iq people for them. We are only a few days away from seeing characters like baku getting placed in mid or low tiers and getting called as bums because the people in this sub is becoming too smart.

Edit-i also had a conversation with a cote fan and he asked me if i can beat ayanokoji and said i will never be able to Seriously how is a human beating a fictional character? Maybe there is a way to do that too, enlighten me sub

Why so hated?

I seriously don't understand why this manhwa is so hated

For me, it was one of the best manhwa i have ever read.

A great psychological manhwa and the author had done so much research for making this series.

It's true, towards the end, the pacing gets a little bit slow but the number of chapters didn't make me bored.

Also the main character is one of the best written characters in all of manhwa.

The series had so many references from real life cases and also was very realistic to an extend.

Had a solid antagonist and characterization.

Maybe the glazing towards the characters is what made people hate the characters and this manhwa.

For me, moon will always be one of the best villains out there. Sure he may not be a high tier but he is definitely not a low tier as people claim to be.

Nambong baek was also really smart, i really can't see why people hate them as their life is on it's sake.

What do you think about this?

So i recently made a post on some of the worst takes i have seen but forgot to include this.

I have seen people scaling akagi so high and i have no problem with that, he is without a doubt a great character.

But recently i found statements like akagi is only good at mahjong and if it's any other situation akagi is a low tier.

I just don't think that is the case sure akagi is a genius at mahjong and i would say even many high tiers would find it so hard to win against him in mahjong

But do you all think he is only good at mahjong and he can't handle situations in manga like liar game, usogui etc.

I have no problem with people having statement like that.

I honestly is not okay with that statement but i wanted to know what you all think about this

Peak manhwa

What do you all think about the manhwa called hellper?

I found it pretty good and it gave a different kind of experience compared to the other manhwas i read.

A masterpiece for me. I know there are well written works, works that have better art style and stuffs but i just don't know, i love this work so much.

The plot was really different and unique for me and i also liked the characters and art style of this manhwa.

Don't know why people don't talk about this much.

Anyway tell me your opinions on this manhwa if you have read.

If you haven't read it, i will suggest you to read it.

u/whitedevilO1 — 1 day ago

Peak manhwa

So i don't know if these manhwas have been discussed in this sub.

These series are also very underrated in the whole manhwa community, so i wanted to make a post on them. As the name points out a relation, both stories are connected and both are written by the same author.

There is a drama called the 8 show and it's also based on these.

These manhwas are peak psychological manhwas if i have to say and both of them are really short and are also completed.

Money game has only 60 chapters

Pie game has only 75 chapters

I would suggest to read money game first and then read pie game. As much iam suggesting this, i still have to complete pie game as iam only halfway through the story but felt like recommending it because iam going to recommend it just after i complete it anyway, so why not now.

Enjoy your time

Name some of your favourite duos

Name me some of your favourite duos.

They can be anyone, from manga, manhwa or novel.

The characters in the pic are shimada and akira from the mansion murder novels written by yukito ayatsuji.

They are one of my favourite duos and are also really close in intelligence. Both are solid A or A + for me.

They were also quite efficient like they were literally cooking in the all four novels.

So give me some of your favourite duos.the duos should be existing

The conditions - 1- crossovers aren't accepted. So don't type akagi and baku or friend and johan

2- characters should be from the same verse. Just because both tokuchi and aki are in the same universe doesn't mean tokuchi and aki is a duo.

3- don't make up duos, there are some characters who will literally never work together. Characters like Patrick jane and red john.

So also take that in mind.

Who wins? Baku vs tokuchi in full category distribution

So since there are a lot of posts glazing my goat tokuchi

I wanted to make this post. I kind of miss people glazing my another goat baku in this sub but me, myself is not focused on him as iam actually reading light novels and stuffs to find more characters instead of talking about already popular characters.

Anyway who wins in your opinion?

Provide the diff too, no need to provide distribution

u/whitedevilO1 — 2 days ago

Language barrier

Honestly iam a guy who loves any kind of stories

I just want it to have a decent plot and characters.

I have been going through many underrated light novels and stuffs for the past few months but some works are not even translated.

I don't know Japanese or Chinese but it kind of hurts seeing people scale and talk about characters which they consider as very enjoyable works and highly intellectual stuff.

Should i just go and learn another languages to read other works? I got several novels in my read list in the last week but when checked most of them are in Japanese or Chinese.

I talked with those who read it and they also confirmed on how there is no english translations. I am not talking about Chinese novels only but Japanese novels too.

There are many good works that are being overlooked due to this.at this point, iam one bad day away from actually going to learn a different language just to read a novel written by some guy who doesn't have a thing to do with me.

Some worst takes in my opinion

The pic has nothing to do with the post

So i have seen some serious glazers in this sub and i would also call them as haters as some of them hate other characters in order to glaze their favourites

Iam providing three of worst takes i have seen here in this sub.not ranked and i know there are more but iam too lazy to write all that.

1- red john > Patrick jane due to red John's influence

For me, i have Patrick jane winning against red john but i don't hate people having red john winning

But some people instead of telling their reasoning

Straight up says that " red john could have killed jane whenever he wanted"

I know that's true but what's the point with that. The main plot itself is about jane trying to find and kill red john and red john toying with jane as he wants to show he is smarter

The statement is like saying that batman could have killed joker if he want but we know about the no kill policy

For red john, it's basically due to the entertainment factor

2- characters like yokoya are influence merchants

This is also a take i found, people have yokoya as a low tier saying he always depends on money and tells without money he is nothing but i don't think it's just money which gives yokoya the superiority among the people around him.

3- detectives are bad at outsmarting

This is one of the worst takes i have seen. People say that detectives are not good at categories like manipulation and deception and can only solve cases. This is genuinely dumb because i have seen many detectives being good at categories like deception and planning.

He had that aura

Well this is not about scaling intelligence of this character.

I just went through my gallery and found this photo, i have took it while i read liar game and i took this to send to my friend who resembled this character.

He legit had an aura, i really thought he would have some moments of his. Iam not saying he was dumb.

He was also calm like aki and he had a huge role in minority game. I already had doubt on hitomi and i kind of predicted her being x but that doesn't made me loose the enjoyability while reading.

Anyway just made this post because i legit wanted to see some moments of him.

u/whitedevilO1 — 2 days ago

My take and opinion on friend

So i wanted to make a post on friend.

It's been atleast three or four years since i have read 20th century boys manga and i have watched the movies too.

I liked the manga very much and the movies was also decent. In this post, iam not going to make statements like friend no diffs that guy or friend sends him to space or anything.

Iam not in a situation to scale friend because i have forgot many things that happened in the manga but i do have to say that friend is a high tier.

I consider narrative feats and off screen feats too but friend does have some on screen feats too.

I also don't care about realism because no one in scd really cares about that.

I have seen some people in this sub making posts on friend and they end up getting criticized.

Iam not supporting them and i don't know if making continuous posts about a character is the way to make him get recognized.

Friend is without a doubt a high tier but instead of showing his feats or actually scaling him, most of them makes takes that are too offending towards another character.

Due to the constant glazing on friend and constant hating on other characters, most of them find him as meme character.

I know how this post is not going to change the perspective of those who doesn't scale friend seriously or those who glaze him to death.

I did wanted to see atleast one person to actually put some respect on the character, showing feats instead of having biased takes.

u/whitedevilO1 — 2 days ago

Rank these characters

Rank these characters.

You can also use the comics because comics cover their feats better than movies.

The characters are

1.john doe (seven)

2.lee woo-jin ( oldboy )

3.andy( Shawshank redemption )

4.Blackwood (sherlock holmes)

5.Benoit blanc(knives out trilogy )

6.V ( V for Vendetta )

I hate this

I have always hated agenda pushers not because of them hating some characters and mocking them but because how some of them hasn't even read or watched the media of the characters that they are hating.

As i said, iam not blaming everyone but there do exist people who hate characters but don't have a reason other than it's a character that is hated frequently.

This post is not about that. This post is about glazing.

I have been seeing posts in this sub and YouTube on certain characters getting glazed by particular people.

I don't have any problem with people making posts about their characters, appreciating them but what i found annoying is how they downplay another characters for this.

To glaze X, they make posts like X no diffs Y and X demolishes Y. I don't know why they do this.

Some people are devoted to only a set of characters and make posts on them continuously trashing other characters and if they are showing their love to their favourite character, then it's fine but at the same time they are also making those characters look like jokers for those who doesn't know the character.

Seeing posts like x no diff y make them expect X to be something else and ends up getting disappointed because at the end they find Y not getting no diffed, no matter if it's a win or not they still get disappointed because they goes to read or watch thinking X would be no diffing Y but ends up knowing it was pure glaze.

[Bastard ] recommend me manhwa like this

First of all, i have to say that iam a huge fan of kim carnby and i have read all of his works.

My most favourite is bastard and bastard is also one of my favourite manhwas of all time. I just love the characters and the story.

Especially the antagonist, dongsoo seon is one of the best antagonists in fiction if you ask me.

I always liked manhwa like this. Bastard was pretty grounded, it didn't have that strong main character or incredible fights and it didn't needed any of that to pick my interest.

So please recommend me manhwas similar to bastard that are pretty much grounded and is worth reading.

Underrated gems

These are some of the underrated gems that people don't talk much about as everyone are looking for top tier characters who have beyond human level intelligence.

These mangas are pretty realistic and characters are also pretty good.

1.home hero - there is also an anime for this, but only one season was out. I don't know if they will ever continue it. But the manga was peak, the main character tetsuo was really good and also very grounded.

The manga is completed so check it.

  1. Manchuria opium squad - this manga is about smuggling and it is happening in 1900s .

I found the main character really intelligent especially with categories like deception, scheming etc.

The manga is still ongoing and there is no anime adaptation.

  1. Battle in five seconds - this manga is not that underrated comparing the others and i have seen few people in this sub talking about akira, the protagonist in the manga.

He is a severely underrated character if you ask me and also the anime of it only has one season, so scaling him based on that is not great.

He is pretty good in any categories and the manga is still ongoing.

  1. Btoom - i don't know if anyone has talked about btoom in this sub. Btoom anime has some cult following fans and the anime has only one season.

The main character of btoom might not be as intelligent as characters like akira who i mentioned above but sakamoto is very interesting character.

Recently i found a guy mentioning btoom in comment section of a post and that's when i thought even if i was a fan of this manga, i never really thought about introducing the manga to scd and now i have done it.

The manga is completed and is also the shortest manga in this list.

Peak works

I know that they are well known in manhwa community but still i wanted to post this.

These are some of my favourite works in whole fiction.

Iam not going to rank them.

Kim carnby is such a goat and even his manhwa called flawed almighty was also great.

Bastard was my first manhwa and it made me a huge fan of manhwa media. So what do you all think about this stuffs?

If you haven't checked them, then please check it.

You are missing such peak fiction.

Started Blackstone code

So yeah, i finished the first three chapters and decided to post this.

I have decided to read Blackstone code. Don't really know how high lynch is going to be and i don't really care

I just want a decent story which is enjoyable and it is good till now so i will probably continue it.

A user recommended me this not so long ago, so i decided to read this.

Iam not going to rush it. There are lot of chapters

I will read it slowly and maybe will make posts about Lynch

It feels so bad

The photo isn't related to the context

How does it feel when you like a character so much and wants to see them getting appreciated just to see them being hated?

Let me be clear,

X is a character that many people underrate or overhate for no reason. X is not a high tier but is very smart and also really enjoyable as a character.

But as much as you love X, you hate his fans.

You see X placed higher than characters that he should not and you see matchups that x won't win but is being won by his fans.

Due to this, even people who haven't read the work based on X starts to hate him and some even go to read the work just to hate him ending up not even enjoying the work.

You really want to make posts or stuffs appreciating X without glazing him but due to this, you have to expect some opposing opinions.

I have many characters like that and i even doubt if the people who are glazing them really are their fans or are they just glazing them to make people hate them.

Anyway drop such characters you have, which you love but the fans have made it in a way that you can't even appreciate them

How do you scale comp versions?

I wanted to ask everyone about this?

How are we scaling comp versions of characters?

I know how to scale comp L or comp kudo. I am not saying scaling them is easy, of course there are lot of works to read and watch just to scale comp kudo but it's still set in a same type.

How should i say? Let's say comp sherlock, there are novels and Short stories written by conan doyle and Horowitz and then there are movies and series versions like bbc sherlock and elementary.

But both elementary and bbc sherlock is happening in a different set like a different world set. This is the same while scaling comp moriarty.

For hannibal, there are novels, movies and tv show but the tv show's setting and story is way different from the novel.

I have heard that novel hannibal loses to x and y very badly but comp hannibal low diff both x and y. How is this?

I have heard that novel sherlock loses to x but comp sherlock no diff x but how? Is this the same for everyone?

Do we mix the feats and stuffs done by the characters?

Comp sherlock has lot of works and how do we mix bbc sherlock and novel sherlock? Both are different kind of characters, iam telling about the timeline and the way they are presented.

Let's forget about comp batman and comp joker because there are lot of works and it is hard to go through all of it but it's not that hard to go through comp hannibal or comp sherlock.

So what i have to say is that?

Let's say there is a character called robert and there are multiple novels based on him by different authors and then there are three tv shows based on him and five movies all by different directors.

Novels version is living in old timeline where stuff like camera doesn't exist, he is very good but even if we combine all novel robert , he still loses to x at mid diff.

Then let's say the tv movies are also there, but the movies have kind of changed and isn't focusing on novel that much

I include both novels and movie version but still Robert loses at high diff against x

Then let's say about the tv shows, they are not even similar at all. Two of the tv shows happen in 2100,a futuristic world and the tv show version loses against x at high diff.

So i combined them all like a fruit salad and can i say that comp Robert low or mid diffs x?
