My husband and I (from west Tennessee) are staying a week in Portland, Maine, in late July. I realized this morning that the place I booked doesn’t have A/C. I’m looking at other places, and this seems fairly common for Portland.

I’ll also be nearly 7 months pregnant.

I’m reading that daytime highs in Maine in July are typically around 80 degrees F and it gets as low as the low 60s at night. That’s really different from what we’re used to in TN. Our summers are hot as hades, 100+, and A/C is essential no matter the time of day.

For reference, my husband and I keep our house at 71-74 in the summers.

Would it be a huge mistake to keep this booking? Do you recommend we choose a place with A/C?
