My airplane (1973 PA-28-180) has a very early version of the Garmin GNS 430W. Since the beginning of May, there has been 3 days when the radio cannot transmit. The "Tx" lights up, but I get an error message that reads "COM transmitter power has been reduced". The next day, the GNS is completely fine and will work without issue.

The GNS was removed and bench checked, and it worked fine. I had someone inspect the antenna and coaxial cables, but they didn't find any issues.

I believe this is an older version GNS that required a voltage converter to go from 12V to 28V. The model is Ameri-King AK-550-6 power converter 550-91.

Do voltage converters fail? Is there an equivalent replacement for what I have? It looks like the one I currently have is not available.

Any other ideas as to why it will only transmit intermittently?

My airplane (1973 PA-28-180) has a very early version of the Garmin GNS 430W which requires 28V. My airplane only has 12V so a voltage converter (ameri-king ak-550-6 power converter 550-91) was installed in the late 90s to convert from the 12V to 28V.

The problem I am having is that the radio on my Garmin GNS 430W will *intermittently* not be able to transmit due to low voltage. I am guessing that the voltage converter is failing and needs to be replaced.

It looks like the ameri-king ak-550-6 power converter 550-91 is no longer available. Can someone recommend an appropriate alternative to this?

We’ve visited multiple Sandals locations. We’re looking to book another trip to somewhere new, but we’d like a smaller resort. Royal Plantation and Halcyon in St. Lucia were both good sizes. Are there any other Sandals similar in size to Halcyon? I know RP is the smallest.

I’ve been trying to join battlegrounds all day. I log in just fine, but when I pop in the queue it rolls for a bit, then kicks me out saying I’m offline.

I’ve tried over cellular and WiFi. Also reinstalled the game. Anyone else having this issue? Doesn’t say servers are down. North America server.
