I wish I’d found this sport earlier

Started skating at 48, with the prompting of 9-year old daughter doing LTP - they have LTP for OLD ladies, too, mom. In fact, the local rink has really great programs for women and girls.

Kid and I progress through HockeySkating 1-4, LTP 1-3. Kid joins the house league then tries out for the travel lite “select” house league. I join the 8-team women’s league.

All that to say I’ve played two league games so far and scored my first and second goals during that second (11pm) game. Loving this sport at 49, only regret is not starting earlier. Feel blessed to be going through this with my kid - of course we can go to stick and puck for Mother’s Day.

3rd Line Hockey Family Tournament?

I searched the archives but only saw old posts about the adult beer tournaments. So, I’m looking to see if anyone has done the family version of this or other tournaments? I’ve never heard of 10u to adult tournaments so my kid and I are intrigued.

Thanks!
