Please recommend things to do and places to visit during four days in El Chaltén.

I’m in the final stages of planning my trip for the end of September, and I recently came across a really interesting post about some lesser-known and non-obvious things to do in El Calafate. However, I’ll be spending five days in El Chaltén, and I’d love to know if you have any recommendations for things to do or places to explore beyond the famous hiking trails

Contact/Recommendations for Taxi or Airport Transfer in El Calafate

Hi!
I’m planning a trip to Argentine Patagonia at the end of September.
I’ll be staying in El Calafate for a few days, and my return flight will also depart from El Calafate Airport.
Do you have any recommendations or contact information for a reliable taxi or airport transfer service that can take me from the airport to my hotel in the city, and later from the city back to the airport?
Thank you in advance!

Patagonia (🦆gonia) in late September / early October

Hi everyone!

I’m planning a trip to Patagonia between late September and early October, visiting El Calafate and El Chaltén, and I’d love to hear from people who have been there around that time of year.

I’ve been doing some research, but I’m still unsure what to realistically expect in terms of scenery, snow, trails, vegetation, weather, wind, and what clothes to pack.

If anyone has photos from trips taken in late September or October, especially from El Chaltén, Fitz Roy, Laguna de los Tres, Perito Moreno Glacier, or around El Calafate, I’d really appreciate it. It would help me get a better idea of what the area looks like during that period.

I’d also love any tips about:

  • trail conditions at that time of year
  • tours that are worth doing
  • essential clothing or gear
  • transportation between El Calafate and El Chaltén
  • mistakes you would avoid if you went again.

Thanks in advance!
