Worrying ultrasound
Had my first ultrasound yesterday, and unfortunately it didn’t go as well as I’d hoped. At first, the doctor could only see the GS and it looked completely empty, which was scary... But eventually the yolk sac and embryo became visible too, and the good news is that we could actually see a heartbeat.
The image really wasn’t very clear though, and it was quite difficult to get accurate measurements, even though it was a TVU.
What worries me is that I’m very sure about my dates. Tracked ovulation, which happened a few days later, so yesterday I should have been 7w5d, but the embryo measured 6w3d. The doctor asked me to come back next thursday to check the progress.
Realistically, perhaps it's pretty clear something might not be right. But is there a chance that the measurments were off? Had a TFMR at 14w in March because the baby had triploidy, so seeing the baby measure behind again brings back some memories...
