Need some insight

So i am an active vibraphone player for anyone that has played it what would yall say is the minimum to be heard because I realise I play quietly but it seems loud to me but I can never hear it in recordings

So a little help

So in a vibraphone player and im the only one so im not very loud but I need to know when can I use my pedal because the songs we currently play are quite fast in the sence of music fast not tempo and my pit captain says I should never use it for all 3 movements which seems redundant because with it I can barely be heard but then I cant be heard at all

A little story I made for a gc

Twas the night of band camp eve,all the band kids lay asleep dreaming of playing whilst the music play restless inside they're head.

For thou band director came with the most sincere of tolls, for he was ready to bring jollyness for the whole band, with a twirl of his wand and a 1,2,3, all the percussionist dazzled away with they're drums

For the woodwinds lay they're beautiful tunes that lead the march, whilst all along play with the brass make the long deep noises that enjoy all .

But with one long arm stroke around and down,it all stops for a mistake has gone admist ,a wrong tempo

For the week has ended all had a jolly musical time ,the percussion has memorized it all the brass players have tuned the instruments the woodeidbs replaced the reeds for one jolly tune is next,a very cold Christmas tune ,

FOR ONE AND ALL A VERY LOUD AND NOISY NIGHT FOR BAND CAMP HAS STARTED TOMMOROW HOHOHO
