The enemy is so far in the rear view mirror you can’t even see it anymore.
One of my favorites is "The Promise" by When In Rome at the closing of Napoleon Dynamite. It elevates the end of that movie to such a perfect degree that you walk away smiling.
I have adored Basil Poledouris' score for the 1998 version of Les Miserables for as long as I can remember. It seems super underrated and I never see it pop up on people's list of favorite soundtracks.
Similarly, the 2002 version of The Time Machine has a wonderful score from Klaus Badelt that I don't ever see people mention.
What are the most underrated and overlooked scores for you?
