Upon hearing the news that the teens of denial remake removed all swears I was disappointed I can’t lie. It feels like implying that swearing is juvenile, and I do not agree with this. I think that swearing is important and can even be necessary at times. I was also shocked to learn about the patreon Bible study stream, no hate to anyone who is religious but it was just very unexpected to hear that. But now I am finding myself thinking: why do I care so much? How does someone distancing themselves from their past affect me? Or finding religion etc?

Short answer it doesn’t. I do think “cleansing” the lyrics made the album worse and the alien line I cannot even think about with a straight face, LOL, but I think we need to all care just a little bit less. None of us know these people whatsoever. It feels parasocial for us to care this much

Maybe I am the parasocial one for ever feeling this way. But with the way i see other people acting online I feel like this could be helpful for at least Someone to hear
