To shake off a hermit if you accidentally pick them up. I just waited until night and crept outside to force them to jump off. But I’ve discovered if you mash left/right/left/right you throw them off. I feel like an idiot!
When I read fantasy, I almost always imagine the world and characters in a sort of animated/cartoon style rather than as real people. Even if I look at artwork or fan art beforehand, I still struggle to picture the characters’ faces clearly, they’re often vague or blurred (which is the same for my dreams).
What’s strange is that if I’m reading other genres, I tend to imagine everything much more realistically.
Does anyone else do this? Is it just because fantasy is so detached from reality that my brain defaults to an animated style, or am I the odd one out?
