Maegor wasn't so infertile after all...

I started a campaign as Maegor. But to change the dynamic, I killed his first wife with a plot device and married him to a younger courtesan. I started killing all my wives when they turned 26 and remarried younger women... the result is that Maegor had more children than Aenys himself. Now I'm playing as Maegor's heir, whom I named Aerion. Curiously, he's also a britghflame here.

Has anyone ever won Maelys Blackfyre's rebellion while playing as him?

I think I’ve done that at some point—I seem to recall doing so. It’s hard to figure out the game's AI, but I find it highly unlikely that anyone could win this scenario playing as him. Jaehaerys II simply shows up with 40,000 men, and that’s impossible to counter without using console commands.

Even so, Maelys always ends up getting killed due to some plot point in my campaigns. (They really hate him.)
