Dog likes current food but has mildly soft stools. Besides a diet change what has helped firm stools up the most?

I really don't want to change diet since my picky dog actually eats Purina One. My dog is healthy and cleared by the vet. It's just the 16% fat and low 3% fiber that is causing the soft stool and subsequently anal gland issues.

What has worked best for anyone in similar position? Psyllium husk, pumpkin, glandex, Filaquin?

I also noticed the large breed formula has 12% fat and 4% fiber and she is 45-50 pounds. Would switching to large breed Purina One help?

Fortiflora and probiotics seem to do nothing.

She tried Hills Perfect Digestion but hates it and despite having perfect poop she was losing weight because she isn't a food motivated dog and is picky.

Can a 45 pound adult dog safely eat large breed formula since it's lower fat and higher fiber? Dealing with soft stools. More details in comments!

She is almost 2, has been medically cleared by the vet and they are not worried about her soft stool.. its just hard to pick up. From my trial and error with different food her soft stools are due to high fat and low fiber. I'm not sure if high protein is also a culprit??

I have her currently eating Science Diet Perfect Digestion but it is VERY Expensive! Her stools are much better though since its a low fat high fiber food.

Perfect digestion- protein- 20% fat- 11% fiber- 4%

Previous food Purina One lamb rice adult- protien 26% fat-16 fiber- 3%

Purina One lamb large breed adult- protein- 26% fat- 12% fiber- 4.5

So is it safe for her to eat the large breed food (any brand)? Since it would save me money and I also have a 68 pound dog. I know this might sound like a silly question but I'm a paranoid pet parent.

Or another alternative- could I mix the SD Perfect Digestion with SD Sensitive or SD Regular without upsetting her stomach? It would help to save money?

She is a moderate/normal active dog and has a tendency to gain weight because she is stocky...that 16% fat in Purina one was doing NO favors!
