Is the Suzuki Kingsquad 500 good enough?

(2008 ATV) I'm going to take it, but I don't know if it's suitable for my needs:

1.Knead the mud and ride on difficult off-road conditions

2.Be reliable

3.The ability to carry a passenger without causing any damage to the vehicle (I have a stels ATV 500 GT in mind)

I'm planning to buy a 2010 Polaris Sportsman 500. But I'm a complete novice.

Can anyone tell how to control and start this ATV? I'm 16 and I've never ridden anything like this before. I've only had a couple of experiences on an enduro bike.
