Wow...

9:30am. I'm cashiering, just got in 15 minutes. I'm exhausted because this week I work 40 hours. I'm at my checkout, LIGHTS ON. LOOKING IN THE DIRECTION OF WHERE CARTS GENERALLY COME FROM.

Woman approaches from OPPOSITE direction. "Are you open?"

Me, friendly, "Yes, ma'am, thats why my lights are on," points.

"Oh well. You don't look ready to serve so I'll just go somewhere else."

Y'all are too damn comfortable dehumanizing retail employees, full stop. You make no room for us to be tired, or sad about the state of the world, or ANYTHING. Hell, even doing our job! I was DOING MY JOB! Boop beep boop beep. I'm in retail! Don't bother being polite or anything, I have no feelings. Yeah go ahead. Kick me. Whatever, right?

I'm so damn sick of y'all. Thats it.
