I've never scheduled monthly transactions. Am I missing out?
In my head, I've got a good idea of what comes in and goes out on a monthly basis and income almost always covers expenses.
What are then the benefits of scheduling transactions?

We have our toybox (which is about 40yrs old, was my cousin's before it was mine, now for my kids) and all the toys get stored in there.
This was great when my son was younger but now he's 3 and a bit, he is strong enough to lift the lid and once the lid comes off, it's like Pandora's box. Everything comes out and usually upside down so spraying the contents of various bags, boxes and whatnot.
We've thought about getting a Kallax unit or similar so that at least he can see which toys he wants rather than rummaging but we still think it's going to end up with everything on the floor.
Any ideas.
