[MapleLeaf v95] Super Beginner Job - Proper Full Reveal (Sorry for the lazy removed post)
Hey r/mapleservers,
Sorry for the rushed post last time. I threw everything together too quickly and it didn't do the job justice. Here's the full, cleaned-up breakdown of the new Super Beginner job I've created.
This is a completely unique beginner class that skips the normal advancement path. It borrows skills from across the branches while adding its own identity through the Guardian Angel signature mechanic. Perfect for people who want a unique, more challenging experience and some fun protective RNG.
1. Advancement
Any character Level 10+ that hasn't taken a job advancement yet can become a Super Beginner by talking to Shanks in Southperry.
Advancing will:
- Reset all base stats and refund the AP
- Give you a starter kit:
- The Stars and Stripes (one handed sword)
- Pan Lid (shield)
- Work Gloves
- 100 Red Potions, 100 Blue Potions, 10 Return Scrolls
2. Skill Kit
Signature Skill:
- Super Beginner Strike Multi target attack. Damage scales with your level (up to +50% at Lv. 100) and has a 30% stun chance.
Passives:
- Hustle Permanent Speed + Jump boost
- Protect Permanent Max HP, Weapon DEF, and Magic DEF boost
Active / Support Skills:
- Traveling Merchant Open a personal store in almost any map (Free Market still needs a permit)
- Power Strike Heavy single target attack
- Rage Party wide Weapon ATT + Weapon DEF buff
- Heal Party HP restore + damage to undead
- Haste Party Speed + Jump buff
- Flash Jump Mid air second jump (distance improves with level)
- Teleport Short directional blink
3. The Guardian Angel (updated)
Every Super Beginner is followed by their own Guardian Angel. She operates completely autonomously with no casting or cooldown management on your end. The Guardian Angel was designed to feel like a helpful companion who steps in on her own.
Her interventions include:
- Angel's Whimsy Small chance on monster kills for a minor gift such as a temporary blessing (90s), bonus EXP, or full HP/MP restore.
- Blessings On level up, base 50% chance for one of nine strong buffs (Sharp Eyes, Holy Symbol, near max Maple Warrior, etc.) lasting 10 minutes. No blessing? Chance increases until it is guaranteed. Three blessed level ups in a row equals two blessings at once.
- Miracle Rare upgrade turns it into all nine blessings plus full restore plus brief invulnerability.
- Divine Intervention (very rare) Full map wide restore plus +50% EXP for 15 minutes, announced channel wide.
- Emergency Rescue 35% base chance on death to revive at full HP/MP with invulnerability plus Avenging Smite on nearby mobs. 90%+ EXP bar equals guaranteed rescue (Steel Body). Missed rescues raise future chance. 10 minute cooldown after successful rescue.
- Favor Permanent bond system (Watchful to Vigilant to Devoted to Sworn to Eternal). Higher ranks increase how often she intervenes. First login of the day always gives a small gift plus one free blessing.
