Same Internet Archive men's magazines source as last time. That's certainly a lot of shoes, and only one pair of heels, so it's a sex thing. But -- what's behind Curtain No. 4? What uniform is that? Why did they all have to take off their shoes (and only their shoes), anyway? Any idea, Bert?

There is a batch of scanned men's magazines in the Internet Archive, and of course they all have full-page cartoons. Some of those cartoons are... not immediately legible to modern readers. Here's one of them, apparently featuring Dale Gribble's rich grandpa. Any idea what the joke is here?
