I feel horrible. Did I kill this beautiful bee?

Hi all. First time posting on r/bees.

I found this bee today on the back door mat. It moved around on the ground in circles, so I decided to try and help it get it's strength back.

I live in South Africa, and it's currently winter, and a very cold day. So, I thought she must have been exhausted from looking for flowering plants.

I fed her some sugar water on a spoon. I feel terrible because maybe I didn't dilute the water properly and the sugar water wasn't good for her.

After feeding her the sugar water, she still walked around in circles. At one stage it looked like she opened her wings, but she didn't fly off.

I made the mistake of taking her into the garden, and leaving her near the plants. Then I filled up my bee water station with sugar water, and placed it next to her.

I went inside the house for a few minutes (15 minutes tops), and when I came back outside, she wasn't moving.

Please tell me I didn't kill her. All I wanted to do was help her, and i fear I might have killed her.

Did I end up killing the most important creature of my garden?

What to expect when starting Humira?

Hi everyone. I hope you're all keeping well.

I was recently approved to start the Humira biologic for my Arthritis. Unfortunately I can't start immediately as I have to wait 5 weeks to take my pneumococcal 23 strain vaccine.

Before I start it, I just wanted to find out if this medication has worked for anyone.

Has it helped ease the pain?

Is life more manageable and are you able to do "normal" people stuff?

As for the side effects, I also have a few questions.

Does Humira cause hair loss, weight gain and psoriasis (new or worsening)?

What can expect when I start this medication?

I haven't heard back from my Rheumatologist or the Humira nurse, so I'm very worried about taking this. I'm so worried about getting cancer.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you so much!

P.S: I'm not looking for medical advice. Just what to expect.

TL;DR: what can I expect when starting Humira? Side effects included.

Those taking biologics for autoimmune Diseases, where do you discard your needles?

Hi fellow South Africans.

I've recently been approved to start a biologic for my Arthritis. I was provided with a leaflet by the provider, and it explicitly states that the needle has to be discarded into a sharps box/container.

I don't have a sharps box, nor do I know where to get one.

Is it possible to buy one from a hospital or maybe even a Dischem or Clicks?

If not, where are you guys discarding them?

P.S: can I start the biologic even though I haven't gotten my second pneumococcal vaccine (23 strain)?

Any help would be appreciated.

TIA!
