F2A timeline question — is 30+ months for I-130 basically the norm now?
Hey all, trying to get a realistic picture of the timeline here. My situation: I'm a green card holder trying to bring my wife over (F2A category).
From what I've been reading, I-130 processing for F2A is running really slow — like 30+ months in some cases? Wanted to check with people who've actually been through this:
- Is 30 months roughly accurate for I-130 processing time right now, or does it vary a lot case by case?
- After I-130 approval, does the wait change much between consular processing vs AOS (assuming she's already in the US, she has a B1 visa though)?
- Total timeline start to finish — realistically, what did it look like for you?
Basically trying to figure out if there's any way to shorten this or if it's just a long haul no matter what. Any recent experience (2025/2026 filers especially) would help a lot. Thanks!
