For shepard owners in the hotter cities like Phoenix,
How do you control the high energy while keeping your dog cool or inside because of how hot it can get?

I'm looking to adopt a german shepard, pup or adult, I'm planning on training them but have not found a dog from the rescues I've gotten in contact with so does anyone know a good breeder or rescue in Arizona I can contact that might have the dog that will be right for service?

I think I was at QT to use the bathroom, I entered with my service dog, legally blind, who usually is frienddly with everyone. He leads me to the biggest stall and when I'm done he is standing behind me as I'm washing my hands. An older woman comes in singing softly as she to washes her hands and asks to pet him. I say yes but as she tries to pet him I can feel him pulling and lowering his head like he's trying to avoid her. Not once had he acted like that before with anyone. And I only let people pet him if he isn't doing much like waiting for me when I am doing something.

Sadly my boy is no longer on earth but I think by his reacttion and the odd vibe she was giving off, I personally think she was a witch or had dark energy. He never growled at her though.
