Exams for non-EU doctors
Hi all.
Just writing to see if anyone has experience with the medical exam for non-EU doctors? Just cleared my PD3 and am now deep into study for the written exam in a few months.
Have done a few past exams, and have to say I’m heavily surprised to see so many questions on niche specialist topics (deeper aspects of management and surveillance of primary sclerosing cholangitis, cold agglutination haemolysis, 4th line therapies for IBD, amongst other things).
I’ve been a doctor for 10 years in Australia, and 4 as a fellowed general practitioner. Is this level of knowledge expected amongst all doctors in Denmark? As a GP should I be expected to plan a patients infliximab therapy? Anyone know if they weight the marks for these niche topics less than your standard questions? Feels prohibitive if anything, and I now find myself studying some random fact from 2012 university, as opposed to focusing on important things, like language.
