Flights to and from Alaska?

I am specifically flying Alaska this time and I never have. I am going on a trip to Alaska flying Alaska airlines here soon. Going to Seattle and then to Alaska. I have been on planes a bunch in my life and have NEVER been scared of them and usually am excited. I’ve even flown direct to Hawaii before and was just bored of anything but certainly not scared. But something about this time I am terrified of this upcoming flight. Idk if I’m just older and have more anxiety now or if I’m scared about the new airline or what but I am terrified for this trip and am struggling to get excited for it. Does anyone have any thoughts or advice they want to share? How is Alaska? Are flights around Alaska safer or more dangerous than other continental US flights? I keep googling deadly plane crashes and I don’t think that is helping but I’m trying to make myself feel better by knowing the odds are low. The idea of knowing my plane is going to crash before it does just seems so terrifying not getting to say goodbye to my loved ones before just plummeting into a mountain or something. I am aware the odds are ridiculously low but I can’t shake the idea that if it would happen to anyone it would happen to me and acknowledge that I’m not I not invincible. Freak things can happen so why wouldn’t it happen on my flight. I mean according to the odds couldn’t I be due for a crash? I know I sound irrational and that’s what my whole family is telling me I just can’t shake the fear.

How safe are flights to and from Alaska?
