How to fix blurry video doorbell
Recently, had to fallback onto a spare set as my old Blink Video Doorbell had scratches on the lens and was noticeably affecting its visibility. To my horror, this brand new set bought in 2024 (upgraded gen 1 with battery lid casing compared to early 2021/2022), had blurry images and out of focus. Tried searching around but couldn't find an answer till I saw some generic camera fix about turning the lenses to make internal focus back.
Decided to disassemble the video door bell and attached are the images. To fix blurry images, all you need to do is assemble the boards with the battery casing back, but skip the outer shell body assembly. Then, use a book as the tuning point. Slowly turn the lens till it returns sharp crisp text on the video feed. Voila, fixed the blurry images from a fresh out of the factory unit...last two pictures are the difference of before and after fix.
