How do you guys as a small team double check international payroll compliance?

A few months ago we started hiring outside our home country and I remember thinking payroll would be the least of my worries since we already had a provider in place. But the more I dug into it the more I realized I was basically just trusting the system and crossing my fingers that everything was set up correctly.

Now we’ve got a small team spread across a few countries, and I keep wondering if we’re actually staying compliant or just assuming we are.

Do you just trust your payroll provider, or have you found a practical way to double check things?
