Acura ZDX Recall - Drop off only
My Acura dealership (Ed Voyles Acura Chamblee, GA) reached out via text to see if I needed to schedule service. I asked about the pending recall regarding the backup camera and they offered to schedule it. This is my second time taking the car in for a recall. The first time I got a loaner and it took about 2 days. This time they’re telling me recalls are drop off only. Has anyone ever experienced this? The dealership is about 40 miles away. I guess I’ll just try the one that’s closer if that’s the case.
Update: I called the original dealership where the car was pushed (Ed Voyles). The service coordinator said that parts have not come in yet but it’s quick and I could wait. He did shared that a loaner is not an option because Corporate Acura has no intention to continue supporting this vehicle beyond what they are legally requirement to do. As a 5 time Acura owner that is disappointing to hear. It still has an Acura name on it. I’ll get rid of it after the lease and won’t ever look back to Acura. No wonder they continue to struggle.
