Well there goes the ladder...
Doctor gave the ok to introduce dairy via the ladder. Benefit of the doubt, my husband's first language is not English, he misunderstood. He gave the baby a friggen piece of cheese- no ladder, no processing through breast milk. Straight string cheese nibble into baby's mouth! But, 12 hours later and nothing severe. Pediatrician says good to go, everyone can have dairy, but I'm nervous. How long do I wait for symptoms? She hasn't had a BM yet, so I'm assuming I should wait to see how that is. And would you still do the ladder, starting with me and my milk first? Anyone else accidentally rip the bandaid off after 6 months and it was ok?
Background, she was diagnosed by the pediatrician in her first month after being super fussy/ reflux and having mucus and blood in stool. I stopped dairy and we had huge improvements, but no further testing.
