We were catching mostly bluegill in one of the reservoir ponds in our neighborhood. But then on the last cast caught this guy. It was bigger and much thicker than all the bluegills we caught. Also darker and didn’t see that distinct black dot of the bluegill.
It’s a gross pond so we don’t keep anything and it was a hot day so I put him back pretty quickly. Wish I’d have taken a couple more photos.
Anyone know what this is? AI says it’s a warmouth?
