Any anyone in a bind & need $100 cash by Sunday? Art assistance wanted.
Hey everyone,
Working Artist here & saw a few weeks ago someone needed cash. I offered up but they didn’t take it and although a few people dm’d me it looks like it’s just easier for me to make a post.
What you’ll do:
• hopefully familiarize yourself with my work without me feeding you the research but it’s okay if you don’t have time
• pick up a small box of about 45 New York Times newspapers (approx month & a half’s worth) on Saturday morning at my gym (in public) - I should be there at 9am
• spend any 5 of the next 24 hours looking for a particular word(s) (this one is mostly in its own section) and cutting the whole section out (have one sheet instructions that will come with the box and also will send to you when we agree). Essentially this is WFyourH and I’ve budgeted 5 hours of your time. As long as it gets done it makes no difference to me where you do it however I do ask you allow me & my work the privacy of keeping the process to yourself so maybe not at the park or on a train etc.
• deliver to my gym 24 hours later on Sunday at 9am. There will be $100 in envelope at the desk or if you prefer I have all the things (Zelle, Cash App, Venmo etc).
Gonna add a pic of what a month looks in the comments like so that you can see the level of organization required (so please consider if this is your lane before responding).
Things you should know:
• will provide scissors
• my gym is Absolute Power on Wyckoff
• my order of preference for this work is Artist, Woman, locals, general Bushwick community. Hopefully this is the start of being able to do this consistently, but for this one I’d like to have a direct impact on what’s at the top of the list of things I am most passionate about.
•if this goes well I want to do this weekly & hire some more people

UPDATE: Just getting on here now and a little overwhelmed - gonna sort through all your messages & comments and will reach out to the person for this round by this evening and also contact anyone else that feels like a good fit for the future. I know there are going to be so many of you I want to hire but for right now everything I’m doing is on my own dime so it’s a slow build, ha, but I’ll be reaching out to you too to keep in touch for the future.
UPDATE 2: I’m gonna meditate & take a nap. Some people are crunchy on here & need a break lol
