VPS silently null-routed repeatedly with ZERO customer notification — this needs to change
I've been dealing with a recurring issue where my VPS becomes completely unreachable from the outside world. After extensive troubleshooting, I confirmed the server itself is perfectly healthy — Apache running, MySQL up, memory fine — but external traffic never reaches it.
The issue is Hostinger's automated systems silently null-routing VPS IPs when overload is detected, with absolutely no notification to the customer. No email. No SMS. No dashboard alert. Nothing.
My clients experience full downtime. I lose business. And I find out only when clients call me.
This is a systemic problem that needs to be addressed:
- Customers must be notified immediately when their IP is null-routed
- A self-service "restore network access" button should exist in hPanel
- Root cause explanation should be provided so customers can fix the underlying trigger
I shouldn't need to restore a full backup just to get my network access back. Hostinger, please fix this process. Other customers are likely suffering the same issue silently.
