Chameleon first time owner tips?

My boyfriend and I really want to get this chameleon and it is a juvenile and approx 1 year old. He is literally like 3 inches maximum and we are very much aware of not only the attentiveness you need to own one but also all of the aspects of the enclosure. Due to the size of him should we go all out and get the enclosure now that he will have for the rest of his life or should we start off with a small enclosure until he grows to a size where he appears to need a bigger enclosure? We are worried about him finding his food and intaking the water droplets in such a seemingly large habitat. (here is a video of him, we have not yet adopted him so this is the enclosure that he is being held in)
