How to trickle charge to revive a dead battery with the Nexus Escape 400W inverter?

Anyone who has had success with this: Can you tell me what you did?

I got my LB7650 kit on Sunday and the battery I received was dead out of the box. I already have a replacement on the way from Ego, but I'm trying to revive the dead battery if possible.

The first time I pressed the battery's power button it blinked red two or three times and went out. It hasn't responded at all since that first press. Chargers don't recognize it, but I saw some saying they've trickle charged their dead batteries using the 400W inverter, so I purchased the Nexus Escape yesterday. I plugged a 100W PD charger into the PD input/output port on the Nexus and attached the dead battery but all I get out of it is the Nexus power button flickering green occasionally with no particular pattern. It's been hooked up for nearly a day and the battery still isn't responding. Just wondering if I'm missing something.

Thanks!

Daily Deal: LM2206SP and ST1623T for $1099

Opinions on this deal? Daily deal takes $100 off of what this was yesterday (I believe) and I also have a promo for 10% off (up to $50), so $1050 for both seems decent? Not sure if we might see deeper discounts later this year/end of season.

Before I continue: how bad are these joists?

My plan is to finish removing the deck boards, clean the joists and fill holes with wood putty, tape the joists, then replace with pressure treated. After pulling a few up, I'm wondering if these are in worse condition than I expected? Prior to any demo I tested the top of the joists with a screwdriver to check for rot and things seemed solid, so I went forward with ordering my lumber. Am I just begging for trouble? The plan was to just change the deck boards to avoid the need to pull a permit and wait to do a full replacement in the future.

The post in the first picture is pretty suspect as well.

Deck is original to the 2002 house. Looks like some deck boards had been replaced with 2x6 at some point as well but those that weren't are rotting pretty bad.
