Wanting to put my gun safe in this room but I need to clean it up first and add some lighting. This room is under my front porch and looks like it shows some sign of water intrusion from the past (house is 40 years old). What’s the best way to seal off the room to lessen the chance of water before painting? I’ve owned this home for almost a year now and i’ve never seen water in here in that time. I also have a dehumidifier running the basement beside this room basically 24/7. Just don’t want to move a nice safe in here and it start rusting out because I didn’t do preparation beforehand.
