Hey, I’m using my DT 1770 PRO MK2 (30 Ω) mainly for music and gaming on PC.

They’re plugged directly into my MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WiFi, which has the Realtek ALC4080.

I’m thinking about getting a FiiO K7, but I honestly have no idea if I would actually hear a difference.

Would the K7 make the 1770 MK2 sound noticeably better, or is the ALC4080 already good enough for them?

If there is a difference, what would I actually notice? Better bass, detail, separation, soundstage, cleaner sound?

I’m not really an audio expert, so I’m just trying to figure out if spending the money on the K7 makes sense or if I should just keep using the motherboard audio.
