Think Marchment could be a bargain at 7 million a year.

Like saw plenty of people saying it was a big overpay for him. Which for starters in this market wasn't at all the case anyway you want to cut it. But if you look at how he's produced the last 3 years. He was a 3rd liner for Dallas playing like 15min a night and could pencil him in for 50pts each year. 2nd year he had 47pts but he only played in 62 games. Last season if he didn't start out with the Kraken and their terrible offense for the first 29 games of the year where he only had 4 goals and 13pts. But then goes to Columbus and puts up 15 goals and 31pts in 39 games as a 2nd liner. So if he played the full year with the Jackets he probably easily goes over the 60pt mark.

Would imagine he will be in the top 6 for the Sharks imagine 2nd line and if he can put up 60 or so pts while also playing physical and heavy like he has in his career. Then paying him 7m for that level of play is a steal in my eyes. IDK how he will age so in later years might not be a steal. But hell by year 3 and 4 his AAV might be what some 4th line talent is making.

Why does Goodrow get so much hate.

This is just something I never understood from this sub. Seen so many fans on here acting like the dude shouldn't even be in the NHL and only gets minutes because Warso loves him. When to me Goodrow is a perfectly competent 4th liner who plays solid in his own end and is solid on the PK. Like this hate for him started as soon as 2024. When fans kept using the Rangers waiving him as proof that he's useless and shouldn't be in the league. When the dude was only waived because the Rangers knew someone would buy him out as they needed the cap space. Pretty sure a team that made it to the ECF isn't gonna play a guy in 16 playoff games if they think he's useless and shouldn't even be in the league. And only has value as a locker room guy.

Like seen 100x more hate for Goodrow value on the ice then I did for Reaves last season. When Reaves by almost every metric was one of if not the worst skaters in the league. Who had next to no value besides being a culture guy for the locker room. Who unlike Goodrow was a liability on defense can't be used on the PK and would get benched in every 3rd period of a close game. It's also why the 4th line actually started playing pretty well once he missed like the last 20 or so games. And the 4th line instead had Chuk, Gaudette and Goodrow on it. Even then I didn't throw anywhere near the level of hate at Reaves that I see so many throwing at Goodrow. Instead all I would say is that if the team was serious about trying to get into the playoffs. That they need to bench Reaves and play Gaudette or Regenda on the 4th line.

Just got finished reading the entire run of comics from the first series of 26 volumes all the way until the Dead in America comic. And just confused as to where exactly John is supposed to be in the DC universe. Was easy to follow at the start seemed like the first 300 issues he was on another Earth than Earth 0. I mean it was pretty easy to follow up until after his Rebirth run. Although was never sure if his original series was a part of Earth 0 or was it's own Earth along with Sandman and Lucifer. But my main confusion comes from the start of the Spurrier run to it's conclusion. Like it seems like the Sandman Universe takes place in a completely different world. Yet at the same time as those comics he was also apart of some Earth 0 comics like JLD. Batman Brave and the Bold and Birds of Prey. So was wondering if they ever gave a reason for that being the case. Like would imagine DC just wiped their hands of the Sandman Universe after the Gaiman stuff came out. So is DC just pretending that stuff never happened or was him vanishing at the end of Dead in America their way of putting him back on Earth 0.
