Second painting finished

Sorry it has some glare in the photo. It doesn’t really do that as much in person, but getting a photo without that happening at least a bit has been impossible

Just started painting recently and finally finished one I don’t hate

Started back in April with no prior experience as I needed a new hobby/creative outlet as an alternative to music. I know it’s nothing great, but it’s the first painting I’ve finished that I’m not totally embarrassed of, so I wanted to get out of my comfort zone a bit by posting it here.

I was wanting to do something to represent the mental disorder, OCD, so that’s what I tried to symbolize with all the fine straight lines cutting through the portrait in contrast to the less defined nature of the rest of the painting.

Thoughts and critiques are welcome! I really love this new hobby and want to get better at it. Been watching as many tutorials as I can and just started lessons as well.
